After the media storm surrounding Jada Pinkett Smith's revelation of her separation from Will Smith, the actor has shared his personal take via an email response.

Jada Pinkett Smith's recent disclosure of her separation from star actor Will Smith in her new memoir, "Worthy," has generated significant media attention. Smith has now offered his personal viewpoint on the matter in an email sent to the New York Times over the weekend.

In his emailed statement, Smith philosophically pondered their lengthy relationship, stating, “When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

Pinkett Smith's book received further discussion on “TalkShopLive,” where she made an appearance with her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris. Norris voiced her concerns over the incendiary backlash directed at her daughter since her revelations. “Your both separated. You did not cheat on Will,” Norris emphatically clarified.

In their hit show “Red Table Talk” aired in July 2020, the high-profile couple revealed their marital issues and Pinkett Smith admitted an affair with singer August Alsina during a difficult period in their marriage. Pinkett Smith echoed her mother's sentiments, insisting that she had not cheated on her husband. “No matter how sad he looked at that table,” she added.

Currently, Pinkett Smith is “in a place of peace. I’m in a place of happiness.” She revealed that herself and Will underwent a “long period of separation” to undertake personal development “in order for us to journey separately and do some journeying together,”. The couple has now reached a "a really, really beautiful place together".

On “On Purpose with Jay Shetty,” a letter from Smith was read by Shetty. “I applaud and honor you. If I had read this book 30 years ago, I definitely would’ve hugged you more,” the letter read. "I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and take a rest”. A laughing Pinkett Smith responded with "That’s beautiful. That’s why I can’t divorce that joker.”

Pinkett Smith reiterated to NBC’s Hoda Kotb that the pair are still legally married, promising, “there would never be a reason for her and Smith to divorce.”

Over the past weekend, Smith shared a cryptic post on his verified Instagram account featuring him laying on a boat to a voiceover claiming, “Fun fact about me: I can take a nap almost anywhere.” His wife, Pinkett Smith, responded with laughing emojis in the comments.
